If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And–which is more–you’ll be a Man, my son!

Getting Up and Taking Action! Productive Quote

The Power Of A Dream, can be all the motivation you ever need, but without any productive action it’s merely a dream.

-JRM

Putting it simply if you do not take action you will not get the results you are looking to receive, but that’s not all it cannot be just any kind of action, but Productive Action.

Productive Action is making a list of things that are on your mind and has been a part of your thinking for a while.  Your task would be to simply put that into action and make a list of things you would like to do, such as a to do list is not really that but more like a to get done dream list, which would refer to your personal dreams and how to go about achieving through problem solving and coming up with solutions to those problems.

I believe if you apply Productive Action in both your personal life and as well as in your career you will be alot more happy and will achieve alot more results then you have in the past.

Finding out what helps you achieve your goals, it’s really worth taking a 15-30 minutes to focus on making or reviewing your list of todo’s especially the one you had tuck away in the closet or garage somewhere.

Get Start Working On Your Dream List Today.

We will be coming out with some helpful blog posts on this topic over the following few days, please be patient and also have a great day.

To Your Success,

What Do You Do Sit Still Like A Rock or Move Like Water?

Friday, August 7th, 2009

“Everyday Actions Make A Difference”.  Unknown.

Sometimes we find ourselves not really looking to do any kind of work and or do not feel like doing anything whatsoever.

But we must constantly remind ourselves that we must approach any and all situations with a different Approach.

What do I mean, you wonder  right?

Ok, simply this when ever you claim you have failed and you did not succeed, learn to change your current mindset and the way you done the task that you felt caused you to fail. This may sound very simple in a way but it is sometimes but other times it is not.

So approach your task, opportunity with a different view, as if you are looking through yellow sunglasses, it is tricky to look out and see very clearly but if you decide to look at the sun, the glasses protects your eyes from being blinded by the suns rays.

So every task, experience, and opportunity allows for you to change your approach to that given task or action.

This is something we always look at wonder and we make excuses for not taking action on our given tasks. It’s as if we are sitting still like a rock and we are not moving like water.

Water can take any shape it decides to come into contact with and constantly moving. So in order to be like water, we have to take productive action and not just any kind of action.

But if we decide to make plans, we have to work on the major plans with productive and driven action, which will allow for us to use the “Chunking Method” and what is this you make ask.

It’s similar to Snow Ball Effect, so putting that way.

What you must do is break up your Big Plans into Smaller Plans, such as if you have a 1 year plan, you work on breaking it down into 3-6 month plans and then breaking it down ever further into monthly, weekly and then daily.

This Chunking Method allows for you to get so much more done.

How Can you begin using that today?

Take 15-30 minutes to plan out your yearly plan and break it down into monthly, weekly and daily actionable steps to take daily action on.

“A Journey Of A Thousand Miles Begins With A Single Step” Confucious

One Step at a time until you reach those broken down, Daily Action Steps.

All the best,

Julio Mattos

Quote of The Moment…Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

It is important to expect nothing, to take every experience, including the negative ones, as merely steps on the path, and to proceed.

~Ram Dass

How Many Time Has This Been True In Your Day To Day Life?

We all come across obstacles on a daily basis and sometimes we find ourselves completely isolating ourselves from those we love because of the day to day problems we come across.

What you will need to realize is it’s not failure but merely a test of your resolve and to see if you are strong enough and willing to be able to get back up and keep trying.

You must learn to change your approach to each situation, rather then simply sitting there and doing the same approach you have always done.

Face Reality and come to understand, that life is always going to be about the experiences we have and we’ve had, the knowledge we receive from each encounter and then the approach and action and reaction we take from them.

Make a decision to change the way that you approach each and every situation that you come to with a little bit of a change of personality, actions and re-actions as well as your desired outcome even if it doesn’t work out to your way.

Take Productive Action Now.

All The Best,

What is Leverage?

Wednesday, March 11th, 2009

What is Leverage?

Leverage is explained by webster in 2 ways which is the following

Leverage (noun)

as 1 : the action of a lever or the mechanical advantage gained by it 2 : power , effectiveness <trying to gain more political leverage> 3 : the use of credit to enhance one’s speculative capacity

Leverage

Main Entry:
2leverage
Function:
transitive verb
Inflected Form(s):
leveraged; leverag·ing
Date:
1957

1: to provide (as a corporation) or supplement (as money) with leverage ; also : to enhance as if by supplying with financial leverage2: to use for gain : exploit <shamelessly leverage the system to their advantage — Alexander Wolff>

Realistically if you put it all together you combine any numerous amounts of techniques, tactics, to get what you want. Hunh?

Ok let me put another way for you by actually addding a short list of things of which you can leverage but not limited to following list:

True and Real Assets

Time

Money

Contacts

Mailing List

Products  (Ebooks, Audio Ebooks, Videos Either on DVD or Downloadable online, Software)

Services (In Exchange for something else of equal or more value)

Content

Knowledge and Skills

Marketing Ability

Salesmanship

Alright I think that give you some kind of idea of what leverage is and how you can maximize your ability to achieve what you want, if you cannot do something find someone willing to partner with you and leverage each others ability to get things done.

Now choose someone where he fills in your weaknesses and you are able to fill his, that way you both are able to correct each other’s weakness through leverage, this will allow for you both to be a better structured and successful partnership.

If you have a group whereby you all lack the same abilities, find someone to help eliminate that gap of that group and you will see that your group will become so powerful through the art of Leverage.

So many people miss out on the real efforts and strength of what leverage can do for you both personally and business and as well as financially, friendships, etc.

All of it can deliver so much value to you and your goals, missions, plans.

This will be touched upon a little bit later on and should not be thought of as not valuable, because it will show you that you are not really using your head. Why do I say that here?

Think about all of the successful people who has come before us and are currently popping up all over the place, do you think that success just falls into their lap, no it doesn’t and if you believe that they are lucky, yes they maybe but not completely.

They used a variety of connections to the above list and helped them Leverage their past failures and turned them into successful leveraged leaders. Remember no matter who you are and what you do, even if you do not believe me, you are using leverage.

Do you use a alarm clock in the morning, tooth brush and tooth paste, fork to eat your food, keys to lock your door at night, I do believe I have given you a few examples here.

That’s how powerful Leverage is and how it can help you really achieve success.

Start thinking of ways of using the above list to start t achieve your desired lifestyle and take it from me, you will be hearing about how I am applying this strategy to both my personal and business lifestyles as well.

I have always loved this word but never really took that massive action that helps this really come alive for me until last year and now I am taking massive action and will unleash the power of leverage.

All the best,

Julio R. Mattos
