“Make your offer so great that only a lunatic would refuse to buy”

– Claude Hopkins

Claude Hopkins was a gentlemen from  a different time and even in his own time that made since, making deals and creating deals and closing them is what our marketing efforts is all about and is up to to make sure that we can clearly get our message across to those necessary customers of ours.

Provide The Best Deal To Your Customers and Always Try To Over Deliver If You Can, They Will Trully Be Thankful If They Apply What You Have To Offer.

Please look at your deal making and try to deliver more to your customers, but provide them with bonuses that will deliver to them more then your competition. If You provide them with an ebook, create the audio part to go with it and suprise them with the bonus.

When the Going Gets Tough …Fire Your CEO First!

When the Going Gets Tough …Fire Your CEO First!

Dear Business-Builder,

When someone asks, “What do you do for a living?” there is only one correct answer.

It’s not, “I have a business.”  A business is something you own; not something you do.

It’s not “I’m a doctor.”  That’s just a profession – not what really pays the bills.

And it’s sure not, “I give investment advice.”  Or, “I do landscaping.”  Or, “I dry-clean clothes.”  Or, “I write sales copy.”  Those are just the products and services you sell.

The only correct answer to this most common cocktail-party question is to declare loudly and proudly …

“I’m a marketer!”

“My specialty is attracting new customers … persuading existing customers to make ever-larger purchases … convincing them to buy more often … and making sure they keep buying from me forever.”

I’m not quibbling here; the point I’m making is a crucial one.  Because your answer to the “What do you do?” question says a lot about how you think about your business or career.

And as long as you define yourself by what you own or by the sheepskin on your wall or by the product or service you sell – as long as you define yourself as anything but a marketer – you are setting yourself up to make huge mistakes in how you run your business that will limit your success.

Because every business and every non-profit organization is first and foremost a marketing enterprise.  Because nothing happens until the cash register rings.

So it amazes me that so many marketers structure their companies upside-down:  With MBAs, bean-counters and lawyers at the top and marketers forced to beg for resources.

In good times that’s a bad idea.  In bad times, it’s idiotic.

We’re now staring down the barrel of the worst holiday season in decades.  With unemployment surging, wary consumers are pinching their pennies, avoiding all but essential expenses.  And all around the globe, businesses are cutting costs like there’s no tomorrow.

But cost-cutting is only half of the equation.  In times like these, companies that find ways to introduce new efficiencies into their business process are most likely to survive.  And that means we can no longer afford to elevate bureaucrats and relegate the marketing department to second-place.

In times like these, we don’t need CEOs.  We need CMOs — Chief MARKETING Officers — running our companies:  People who make sure that attracting new customers, selling more to each customer and keeping customers buying longer are the top priorities of every employee — from the business owner right on down to the janitor.

Nor do we need budgets that restrict the amount of testing marketers are able to do — we need spending mandates that empower marketers to run every good idea up the flagpole to see how many prospects and customers salute.

My advice:  If you own a business or work for one, read this.  Then, read this.  Then, marshal the troops this week to brainstorm what you should be doing right now to put marketing first.

I’ll predict that one meeting will do more to help your company or your clients’ companies thrive than anything else you could possibly do this week.

Yours for Bigger Winners, More Often,

This is an awesome article for some of us to use and but a lot of people still do not understand, they still prefer fancy titles over what you actually do and what industry you are in and also by how money you make. Remember we are all in marketing no matter what one may say and no matter how far you claim you are not, you really are.

What is Leverage?

Wednesday, March 11th, 2009

What is Leverage?

Leverage is explained by webster in 2 ways which is the following

Leverage (noun)

as 1 : the action of a lever or the mechanical advantage gained by it 2 : power , effectiveness <trying to gain more political leverage> 3 : the use of credit to enhance one’s speculative capacity

Leverage

Main Entry:
2leverage
Function:
transitive verb
Inflected Form(s):
leveraged; leverag·ing
Date:
1957

1: to provide (as a corporation) or supplement (as money) with leverage ; also : to enhance as if by supplying with financial leverage2: to use for gain : exploit <shamelessly leverage the system to their advantage — Alexander Wolff>

Realistically if you put it all together you combine any numerous amounts of techniques, tactics, to get what you want. Hunh?

Ok let me put another way for you by actually addding a short list of things of which you can leverage but not limited to following list:

True and Real Assets

Time

Money

Contacts

Mailing List

Products  (Ebooks, Audio Ebooks, Videos Either on DVD or Downloadable online, Software)

Services (In Exchange for something else of equal or more value)

Content

Knowledge and Skills

Marketing Ability

Salesmanship

Alright I think that give you some kind of idea of what leverage is and how you can maximize your ability to achieve what you want, if you cannot do something find someone willing to partner with you and leverage each others ability to get things done.

Now choose someone where he fills in your weaknesses and you are able to fill his, that way you both are able to correct each other’s weakness through leverage, this will allow for you both to be a better structured and successful partnership.

If you have a group whereby you all lack the same abilities, find someone to help eliminate that gap of that group and you will see that your group will become so powerful through the art of Leverage.

So many people miss out on the real efforts and strength of what leverage can do for you both personally and business and as well as financially, friendships, etc.

All of it can deliver so much value to you and your goals, missions, plans.

This will be touched upon a little bit later on and should not be thought of as not valuable, because it will show you that you are not really using your head. Why do I say that here?

Think about all of the successful people who has come before us and are currently popping up all over the place, do you think that success just falls into their lap, no it doesn’t and if you believe that they are lucky, yes they maybe but not completely.

They used a variety of connections to the above list and helped them Leverage their past failures and turned them into successful leveraged leaders. Remember no matter who you are and what you do, even if you do not believe me, you are using leverage.

Do you use a alarm clock in the morning, tooth brush and tooth paste, fork to eat your food, keys to lock your door at night, I do believe I have given you a few examples here.

That’s how powerful Leverage is and how it can help you really achieve success.

Start thinking of ways of using the above list to start t achieve your desired lifestyle and take it from me, you will be hearing about how I am applying this strategy to both my personal and business lifestyles as well.

I have always loved this word but never really took that massive action that helps this really come alive for me until last year and now I am taking massive action and will unleash the power of leverage.

All the best,

Julio R. Mattos

“I’m a marketer!” or “I am a Marketer”

Monday, November 24th, 2008

“I’m a marketer!”

“My specialty is attracting new customers … persuading existing customers to make ever-larger purchases … convincing them to buy more often … and making sure they keep buying from me forever.”

This was a part of explaination that Clayton Makepeace recently posted in his newsletter and has really made rethink about the fact that he mention’s some very juicy details and more on it shortly.

As for right now it had me really thinking over the course of the weekend, even though when your in business you are always a marketer but more into when you are a business owner you want to be sure you know what you really want from your business and also what your job really is.

Take care of yourself,

Julio Mattos

Are You Commiting Business Suicide?

Are you Commiting Business Suicide?

“Marketing is not an event, but a process…. It has a beginning, a middle, but never an end, for it is a process. You improve it, perfect it, change it, even pause it. But you never stop it completely.”

Jay Conrad Levinson

Ok So what is business Suicide?

In reality if you have your own business, more like if you have your own small business and you try to do all the jobs of that business, you are doom to failure.

We are told that Marketing and Sales, Your  ability to communicate and take care of your clients will have your profits rise. But this is only true if you are Marketing Your Business Daily and steadily looking to grow more and more.

If you desire that your business grows and grows, while you are steadily taking action on your business, you must learn how to delegate your tasks to others, it doesn’t matter if you outsource the work and or simply, hire freelancers to do the tasks that you feel you need not do or you feel that you shouldn’t spend time on. To delegate tasks it will free up time needed to market your business products and services to the maximum, this you will soon see will lead you to freed up time and your business being promoted to the maximum level and watch your profits skyrocket.

With any business Traffic Generation will play a very key role in what your plans, goals and income projections will be, but the traffic to your business must not stop there, it must be unique to your target niche.

Your niche is very important, so you must target ideas, execute plans and take action on those plans. Now if you can afford to outsource some of your work and put it into a budget set with a powerful Return On Your Investment (ROI) and are focused on driven productive plans.

You will see a greater rise not only in your profits but with your responses as well, everything that your business does will be continuous effort to increase your bottom line and you will need to test, check results, test some more and more to see what your ending results will be. We must also realize by doing this we will be investing money to bring in more money at a decent marker to break even or to receive a higher rate of return.

As a marketer you must be willing to adapt and willing to never sit idle, you must also take action on a daily basis, without action your business will not hit the 5 year mark and will never see the light of day of being around 10 years from now. Also re-investing your profits back into the company will also help you further implement plans of succeeding by having your money work for you and not you working simply for Earned income.

As a marketer you will be more like a project manager learning to apply various strategies for the furtherment of your business success, you will need to learn how to balance your business time, money and efforts to ultimate level. But not restrict yourself through the process.  It will also be very important to have a follow up system with your clients and ask them questions, offering them gifts or discounts on your products for their imput to your questions, surveys, etc.

Do not commit Business suicide by ignoring that you must promote your business daily and you must channel and tune into various different advertising stations in order to receive the maximum ROI and once this is in place, you must not ever think that your marketing is completely done, it’s a ever growing and exchanging process.

You will need to get your message out and to as many targeted individuals and maximizing your backend profits and services or products as well. This will surely put you a step above average as long as you are taking action and learning from each and every process and project and campaign you will gain knowledge to fact that you will never have actually expected.

Here Are Some Online Marketing Tips.

By Mr. Julio Mattos

Marketing in a traditional sense has always been done by putting an ad either in the newspaper, the radio and the television.

Being in the digital age, efforts done by marketing to get the message across is not that different. It has just become a little more high tech which continues to help drive sales.

Businesses that want to sell something in the market need 2 things. The first is the product to be sold which later on will be distributed. The second is marketing which is the vehicle that is used to carry that message across to the consumer so that people are aware of its existence then it is purchased.

One way of the fastest ways of doing marketing today is building a website. Should one decide to shift and decide to do this, here are some tips one needs to know to get started.

1. The first thing to do is to determine what the person wants to do. The product has to fill a need that the customers want right now. It should provide a solution of some kind that will make that will improve the quality of life either at home or at work.

2. The next is to do the proper research. If the business is done with a group of people or a single proprietorship, it is best to brainstorm for the best domain name for the business. It should be catchy and will easily be remembered by people. Given that there are probably other people who have been in the business longer and that it is possible that the domain name has already been taken, it is best to think of several names in case it can no longer be used.

There are sites in the web that have search engines to look for a specific subject and using popular keywords for ones website will easily help people find it. These sites also allow one to make a site map which can be downloaded in minutes for a small fee.

Another good example is the various email sites and by doing a tie-up with these companies, one can get exposure as well as free service since people who do not have an account can also sign up and be an active member.

3. A product of good quality should be sold at a decent price. Sometimes, the product one makes is already available in the market. To be competitive, one must figure out a way to convince people as to why this product is better than the other leading brands available. What features does it have that the competitor doesn’t? What makes it unique which is not only about the product on hand but the service that this can give as well?

4. Just like having a normal business, one must acquire the right equipment and machines for the job. These could be merchandise that is either physical or electronic and an online ordering system.

To be successful, one should be sure that the goods that a customer will order can be delivered on time. If there are any problems, a customer support staff or system should be ready to cater to that.

5. It takes money to make more money so one should be careful with what needs to be spent. By putting in tight controls in terms of expenditures and keeping track of the current balance while maintaining the same level of quality saves money which can be used for other things.

To avoid falling in this predicament, the first thing one must do is manage the expenses. It is always good to carry a notebook around to log whatever expenses have been made or have a logbook to keep track how much balance is left. That way, a person can stay within a budget on a monthly basis.

6. With everything in place, it is now time to promote the site. One can email to friends about the site and what it offers then this too will also be forwarded and advertised to others. Another is showcasing ones website in E-zines or electronic magazines to get more customer traffic.

Any business big or small must have the right resources available to get the message across to the people and building a web site or a site map takes time. One can do it alone if that person knows how to do it, get professional help or simply start from the basics and learn it from the ground up.
