Matching Your Skills To Find Appropriate Jobs

Matching Your Skills to Find Appropriate Jobs
Skills refer to the things you do well. The key to finding the most appropriate jobs in the industry is recognizing your own skills and communicating the significance written and verbally to a probable employer.

Majority of the most viable skills are those that are used in a variety of work settings. What are these skills? Would matching your skills to find the right job be successful?

* Determine your skills. This would help you in becoming the lead candidate of landing the job. A skill does not necessarily mean it was adapted in a work environment. If this would be your first job hunt and you have no job experience to date, you still have a chance in the industry.

Majority of skills, including knowledge-based and transferable, could be absorbed and developed as a volunteer, a student, a homemaker, or in your other personal activities. The skills you have used for these activities can still be applied to your desired jobs.

Organizing and listing your personal skills could help you easily fill out job applications, provide useful information for job interviews, and prepare quality resumes.

First, you should categorize the skills by separating your interests and aptitudes from your work experience.

1) Aptitudes and interest.  These include all of your hobbies, activities you have been involved in the past, and all the things that interest you. By listing all of these down, you could examine the skills it takes to achieve each item.

Skills from aptitude and interest may be homemaking, playing basketball, fixing cars and many more. All of these items could determine if you are capable of working with a team, able to handle multiple tasks, have viable knowledge of human development, knowledge of electronics and ability to diagnose mechanical and numerical problems.  The list goes on, but make sure to consider the skills that would be beneficial for a working environment.

2) Work history. This includes volunteer, part-time, freelance, summer and full time jobs.  Once you have listed all your past employment, examine the skills you do work each work duty.

* Ask for help. As soon as you have your list ready, you could now go to job services that could help you acquire your desired job.  You could also search job yourself. However, always remember to match your skills and abilities in your list to the needed skills and abilities of various jobs.

In most cases, people who seek jobs are threatened with job titles. This should not be the case. As long as your skills and abilities could meet the requirements of the workload and job title, your possibility of acquiring your desired job increases.

Happy Mother’s Day

Happy Mother’s Day

To all the mother’s out there and to all the soon to be mother’s, Thank you very much for loving all your children and for raising them to be great Super Star’s.

Mother’s we only get the chance to enjoy you while you are here on earth, once you depart we feel like we have lost the main fork in the road.  I lost mother about 6 years ago and have never stopped thinking about her and her laugh’s and all the time she took care of me and my brother’s and sister’s.

I remember when I was a child my mother was always pushing me to become someone great and even though she had 5 children, we all wanted different things but we also had a common ending. To help other’s out and treat everyone with respect, my mother would not here of us miss treating someone and that was because our core family values.

My Mother was a very beautiful and intelligent woman even with her flaws, she would show you that if you wanted something you could achieve it. But it would require hard work and focus, as well as proper preparation and to utilize the resources around you to truly go out and become someone.

Mother’s have a very hard job and most mother’s who work full-time and take care of their children are master task’s followers. If they do not know how to prepare for multiple things they could be lost with the thousand different things that they must deal with.

I would like to say it again and again, THANK YOU TO ALL MOTHER’S out there.

If it wasn’t for your love and kindness and you pushing us and teaching and guiding us, we all would truly be lost and with no where to go.

Please take a moment and say thank you to everything your mother has done for you and even if you are not close to your mom, say thank you. We all may have some things that may happened between our mother and ourselves, but as you get older and wiser, you will soon see we only have one mother and one father.

Even if you are adopted, Say thank you to your adopted mother and every mother out there.

We appreciate what you have sacrificed and what you have brought into our lives.

Happy Mother’s day and I hope you all are spending it with your mother’s, if not do not stop only because today is mother’s day. Appreciate your mother everyday if you can and if you cannot or do not desire to see her all the time, at least give her call and let her know you are still alive and well.

Personally, I have several friends who do not even talk to their mother’s and or do not ever want to talk to their mother’s again. I’ve heard so many stories behind the reasoning and I understand most of them, but some of them the reasoning is, “They Do Not Have the Time and or Resources” or “They Do Not Want to be Smothered by there mom’s to much”.

That’s fine but call your mom and do not let simply fade away until after she’s gone to appreciate her. I loved my mom and I still love her and always will.

I cannot put into words the Thank you and the absolute feelings that desire to display for my mom. But I do realize that she’s no longer suffering and no more pain, but is sitting upon a cloud laughing as she always did and sitting right next to me, as long as I live and the memory of her lives, she is never gone at least in spirit.

Take care Mothers and enjoy this beautiful day.

Best regards,

5000 Year-Old Medical Secret Unearthed!

5000 Year-Old Medical Secret Unearthed!

When you get sick, you go to the doctor. And the doctor will, of course, prescribe medicines. You will go and buy medicines. You take them, and hopefully, you get well.

This is how the health profession goes on nowadays – a cycle of diagnosis and prescription.

If anyone were to give you herbs for medicine, you would probably say that that person was a quack.

But nowadays, studies are being conducted to see if there are really is any merit to what is called natural medicine.

Natural medicine is the use of natural methods, herbal medicines, and traditional practices to heal ailments. Every culture has a form of natural medicine. In ancient cultures, village medicine men served as the doctors of the community, passing on medical knowledge to the apprentices that followed them.

Many categories of the healing methods fall under natural medicine. Among these are traditional medicine, complementary medicine, and alternative medicine.

Usually, natural medicine refers to medical practices that were in place before the advent of modern medicine.

This includes herbal medicine, or phytotherapy, which is prevalent in Chinese, Ayurvedic(or Indian), and Greek medicine.

Upon the advent of modern medicine, many professionals discarded the use of herbs in favor of man-made medicine. The fact that these treatments are based on the healing properties of some herbs was forgotten.

For example, opium, digitalis, quinine, and aspirin all have their roots in traditional medicine.

Natural medicine can be considered as a lost art. This does not mean that it has lost efficacy over time. In some cases, natural therapy is actually better than modern medicine. This leads some doctors to seriously consider and study the possible uses of natural medicine

Before we continue, it is important to stress that not all the natural remedies are legitimate. It would help to only try those remedies which have been thoroughly studied and are relatively risk free.

Take herbal medicine for example. There are many well-documented and studied herbal remedies available. However, only those that deal with minor ailments such as cough, colds, fever, skin rashes, and its ilk are likely to be recommended by health professionals. These remedies are sometimes superior to synthetic medicine. This is because herbal medicines are less likely to cause negative side effects.

Currently there are numerous organizations that study the effects and advocacy of natural medicine – among which is herbal medicine. Some governments and health agencies openly advocate the use of natural methods since they are inexpensive and relatively risk-free.

As their studies compile, more herbs and treatments are added to the list of accepted medicines. However, many herbs and treatments have been proven to be bogus medicine. This represents a challenge for both the user and the agencies because they have to ascertain that the treatments they either use or advocate are legitimate.

There exist today many alternative medical treatments that fall under natural medicine. However, not all of them have been proven to be effective. You could mention homeopathy, aromatherapy, acupuncture, and other alternative medical treatments. It would pay to consult the experts as to the legitimacy of these treatments.

Natural medicine should also be thought of as an accompanying medicine. Right now, the current collective medical thought suggests that natural medicine be used only to supplement accepted modern medical practices. In that case of minor ailments your expert we actually advise you to take natural therapies instead.

The practice of modern medicine revolves around diagnosing an illness and prescribing treatments for such. Natural medicine is helpful because it suggests that treatment be not necessarily given only when sick. Natural medicine strives to make each patient practice good health habits. These habits include good diet, healthy living, and the regular natural treatment.

It is this same line of thought that leads our parents to tell us to eat our vegetables. Yes, a healthy lifestyle and will do no harm to our well-being. And this is the foundation of natural medicine – may it be massage, herbal medicine, aromatherapy or others.

It is funny but true that science, in its quest for excellence, is studying the knowledge of sages past. This, surprisingly, leads us back to the remedies nature offers. The possibilities of finding remedies to everyday illnesses in natural medicine are encouraging. So staying tuned to studying these remedies is worthwhile until we can verify that these therapies are truly helpful to our health and our society.

A Moment In Time That You Can Never Have Back!

Tuesday, May 6th, 2008

A Quote from the late  Gary Halbert:

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,
talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that
other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.
And, as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously
give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence
automatically liberates others.”

I hope this beautiful quote stay with you always.

How much does this Quote bring to the table, if you do understand please read it again and see what it has to bring to you.

You must realize that each passing day is another chapter in your book that you call life and if you do not take even 15 minutes of action, then what can you say you have done in your life?

We take everyday for granted and yet constantly complain that we done have enough time, money, energy, we are depressed, everything seems to be falling down before us.

We all for these excuses to run our lives and to make us realize that we are not getting ahead, because we are exerting so much energy and time into feeling sad for ourselves.

Get up and Take action upon your dreams and your life what good is crying over yesterday, while you have this great big day to live and why not make it the best day ever. Put a smile on your face, walk over to the nearest mirror and tell yourself that I am a great person and my dreams are possible.

Why not tell yourself this and why not take action on your dreams?

So many people have come before us in so many different professions and even those who were borns with health problem have fully lived and succeeded in life. Take a look at people who were born crippled, with heart problems, who are blind or deaf, they do not allow for this to stop them.

I remember a few years ago on CNN they actually did a special about a little girl who was born with no arms, I do not remember her name I admit, but the way she was able to fight against her not having arms, and fingers and not being able to write. She learned how to do all of this with her feet, yes you heard that right.

She learned how to write and eat with her feet, what incredible and very inspiration story it was to see, most people only see life through there own eyes and forget how to see through someone else’s eyes.

We have all done this at one point or another in our lives. The moment you begin to see everything is fresh and you feel like you have been reborn because everything is exciting again and you cannot take the happiness away from that moment in time.

Pretty much to put this whole in thing into summary, do not hesitate to take action towards your dreams and towards your goals. No matter what your dreams are and have been about, your plans requires action, even if you do not have the money to take full action on your dreams.

How about learning how to get started?

If you do not have money work with others who do.

If you do not have the connections, find the person who does.

If you feel you do not have the time, find the person who does.

If you lack the energy and inspiration, motivation, the know how, the skills you desire, find the person who does, have what you desire, work out a deal with him or her and take a little action.

Everything that we do in life small or large, heavily will depend on the actions we take and the approach we take with those actions. We all are different and we all come from different backgrounds, but we all have similar dreams and goals, find the people who can help you fulfill your dreams and goals, with very useful plans and actions.

Action is the most useful ingredient in anything because without it, you plans are likely to become dust and will simply be passed along to another who has the desire and fire in them to take action upon the dreams and goals you failed to follow through with.

Get Up and Take Action each day, if your plans are not complete, who cares, it will never be complete. Because each moment in time you allow for yourself to simply let pass will be a moment, you will never ever be able to get back again. You can get up and fall down as many times as it takes to achieve your dreams, but one thing, one most valuable thing in TIME, you will never be able to get it back.

Think about this and remember who you are now and who you are desired to be is one and the same, if you only take action and open your eyes to really see who you are.

The Way Down The Hill

The Way Down The Hill

How many times have you found yourself in this position?

You come to a path that has 8 pathways down the hill. But the hill is really a place where you stand every day in your life when you do nothing. When you take action no matter how small, it’s moves you that much closer to that which you are looking for.

Ok, so The Way Down The Hill, is more like we have so many decisions that we must make each and everyday, but some people believe that if they make the wrong decision it’s the end of the world and the mistake is irreversible.

We all are human and we all make mistakes, no matter who we are, the sooner you realize this the better off you will be in the end. The more that you come to understand what you want and what you are willing to exchange in order to receive what you are seeking.

But some times we all will and hopefully will learn from each encounter and will make the next time that much more better. You know to quote something about Thomas Edison, he failed a lot of times in his inventions and look at how many successes he had.

Thomas Edison failed more then 999 times when he wanted to create a light bulb he felt comfortable with. If he did this and you can see that he persisted no matter the current situation, we all have the ability to find the proper way down the hill.

You just need to be willing to find the route that most pleasing to you and that of your dreams and desires. We all begin in places in life and the hill is just merely a stepping stone until you reach your level of comfort, but once you reach or if you ever reach it will merely depend upon what you are determined to give in order to achieve whatever plans you set for yourself.

Not all the time will the way down the hill be easy and nor will it be hard if you were given a map to guide you down the hill or for the that fact through the variety of pathways directed in front of you and behind you.

Taking that first step toward achieving anything will first depend upon you making plans and coming up with ideas and solutions and most important followed by action.

So to put it another way first, Learn To Invest In Yourself: The Time, Energy, and Money. To get you on your way, this is just one of the many things you will need to do.

Get going on taking on your tasks that you have set for yourself and your interests.
